Program Description
There is an unprecedented growth in data collected by all types of organizations in various modalities including text, numeric, image, video, and audio form for various scientific, medical, financial, and other purposes. This data deluge is a result of social activities and monitoring in an interconnected world on the web by using sensors and other high throughput networked communication devices. This has given rise to Big Data requiring knowledge bases, artificial intelligence, machine learning and data analytics for deriving actionable intelligence and making decisions. Specifically, this unique certificate will equip a student with knowledge in applied artificial intelligence and data analytics techniques and tools.
Admission Requirements
Students must meet the modified M.S. admissions requirements as follows:
- B.S. degree in computer science, computer engineering, or information sciences
- Minimum GPA 3.0
Program Learning Objectives
The students enrolled in the Applied Artificial Intelligence and Data Analytics certificate program will learn to:
- Design and analyze complex data analytics methods.
- Design, implement, and evaluate data collection approaches.
- Apply artificial intelligence and machine learning techniques to analyze and visualize datasets.
- Perform large-scale processing of data.
