Program Description
This program provides a basic examination of crime labs and investigative techniques used within the criminal justice system to collect and preserve evidence. In addition, it also explores procedures and operations of law enforcement
Admission Requirements
- Currently admitted to Wright State University.
Program Learning Objectives
Students will learn to:
- Ethically collect evidence from crime scenes (i.e. basic procedures of evidence collection).
- Understand how forensic science assists criminal investigations.
- Explore the basic techniques used to identify and preserve human remains from crime scenes.
- Make use of the proper methods and procedures of criminal investigations.
Program Learning Outcomes
Students successfully completing the course can:
- Describe the basic techniques/procedures of collecting evidence from crime scenes in an ethically informed way.
- Demonstrate the ability of forensic science to assist in criminal investigations.
- Demonstrate basic techniques used to identify and preserve human remains from crime scenes.
- Implement the proper methods and procedures of criminal investigations.
