Program Description
- This introduction provides a basic examination of crime labs and investigative techniques used within the criminal justice system to collect and preserve evidence.
Admission Requirements
- Currently admitted to Wright State University.
Program Learning Objectives
Students will learn to:
- Ethically collect evidence from crime scenes (i.e. basic procedures of evidence collection).
- Understand how forensic science assists criminal investigations.
- Explore the basic techniques used to identify and preserve human remains from crime scenes.
Program Learning Outcomes
Students successfully completing the course can:
- Describe the basic techniques/procedures of collecting evidence from crime scenes in an ethically informed way.
- Demonstrate the ability of forensic science to assist in criminal investigations.
