Six Sigma Green Belt Graduate Microcredential (SGB-MICROGR)


Program Description

The Six Sigma Green Belt microcredential is a one-semester learning experience that introduces students to the practical application of Six Sigma tools in the manufacturing and service industries.  Students who successfully complete this microcredential will also earn a Six Sigma Green Belt Certificate.

Admission Requirements

Admission to this microcredential program requires admission to WSU as a degree-seeking or non-degree-seeking student.  This microcredential may be earned as part of a graduate degree program or as a stand-alone credential for a non-degree-seeking graduate student.   

Program Learning Objectives

Students enrolled in this microcredential will learn to:

  • Understand statistical tools used in Six Sigma
  • Implement Statistical Process Control (SPC)
  • Evaluate Six Sigma metrics and performance measurements
  • Implement process improvement using DMAIC
  • Understand Six Sigma organization and infrastructure
  • Understand deployment strategies for Six Sigma projects
  • Use techniques for Six Sigma project selection
  • Design for Six Sigma
