Program Description
Wright State’s College of Science and Mathematics’ Department of Earth & Environmental Sciences offers a minor in Earth & Environmental Sciences for those students interested in supplementing their existing degree program.
Admission Requirements
Undergraduate student at Wright State University with a cumulative GPA of 2.0.
Program Learning Outcomes
Earth & Environmental Sciences minors should be able to:

apply knowledge of earth and environmental sciences

discuss earth and environmental topics including tectonics, earth materials, formation of the earth, earth history, the hydropshere, the atmosphere, and sustainability

identify common minerals and rocks

discuss environmental issues with scientific and lay audiences
-
describe earth cycles (e.g., the hydrologic cycle)

Wright State Core Requirements
Select either the 1000-level series (EES 1050, 1070 for 7 hours) or the 2000-level series (EES 2510, 2550 for 8 hours) Required courses
Select a minimum of 12 credit hours from 3000-level and above or other courses by EES Departmental approval. Total: 19-20 Credit Hours
