This plan outlines a four-year path to graduation. You are expected to satisfy all “success marker” courses, grades, and GPAs as specified. For part-time students and students needing to complete background material, this schedule represents the order in which courses should be taken. This suggested plan to four-year graduation does not replace regular advising appointments. Some course offerings may change.

Term One


Total: 15 Credit Hours


Term Two


Total: 16 Credit Hours


SUCCESS MARKERS: Maintain GPA of 3.0 or better; complete one language course with a C or better; grade of C or better in all HST, PLS, GEO, EC, and ED/EDS courses.

Term Three


Total: 16 Credit Hours


SUCCESS MARKERS: Maintain GPA of 3.0 or better; grade of C or better in all HST, PLS, GEO, EC, and ED/EDS courses.

Total: 16 Credit Hours


SUCCESS MARKERS: Maintain GPA of 3.0 or better; grade of C or better in all HST, PLS, GEO, EC, and ED/EDS courses; have completed or be completing HST sequence (HST1100/1200/2110/2120).

Term Five


Total: 18 Credit Hours


SUCCESS MARKERS: Maintain GPA of 3.0 or better; grade of C or better in all HST, PLS, GEO, EC, and ED/EDS courses; apply for entry into Licensure and complete requirements for next fall semester by early January.

Term Six


  • CORE - Element 3 Core Course Credit Hour(s): 3
  • CORE - Element 4 Core Course Credit Hour(s): 3
  • HST Course - History 3000- or 4000-level Course Credit Hour(s): 3
  • PLS Course - Political Science 4000-level Course Credit Hour(s): 3
  • PLS Course - Political Science 3000- or 4000-level Course Credit Hour(s): 3

Total: 15 Credit Hours


SUCCESS MARKERS: Maintain GPA of 3.0 or better; grade of C or better in all HST, PLS, GEO, EC, and ED/EDS courses; prepare for, take, and pass Ohio Assessments for Educators subject test; be accepted into licensure program.

Term Seven


This term will only have ED courses that are used for the separate licensure program.

Total: 16 Credit Hours


SUCCESS MARKERS: Maintain GPA of 3.0 or better; grade of C or better in all HST, PLS, GEO, EC, and ED/EDS courses.

Term Eight


This term will only have ED courses that are used for the separate licensure program.

Total: 12 Credit Hours


SUCCESS MARKERS: Maintain GPA of 3.0 or better; grade of C or better in all HST, PLS, GEO, EC, and ED/EDS courses.
