Return to: Graduation Planning Strategies (GPS) - Alphabetical
Effective Fall 2026, this program will no longer admit new students. Summer 2026 will be the last semester that new students or students changing majors can declare this major.
This Graduation Planning Strategy (GPS) outlines a sample three-year path to graduation and is valid for this catalog year only. This plan is a recommendation, and your actual program may vary. This suggested three-year graduation plan is not a substitute for regular academic advising appointments.
All undergraduate degree programs require at least 120 credit hours. To graduate in three years, students must earn an average of 15-18 credit hours per regular semester (fall and spring) and 6-12 credit hours in the summer semesters. Summer course offerings are limited, and students should plan carefully for summer classes with their academic advisor. The time it takes to complete a degree and the sequence in which courses are taken will depend on any credits transferred to WSU and placement in math and writing.
See the Academic Catalog for a complete listing of curriculum requirements, course prerequisites, and course descriptions. Course offerings and prerequisites are subject to change.

Note(s):
*Languages include Arabic (ARA), American Sign Language (ASL), Chinese (CHI), French (FR), German (GER), Greek (GR), Latin (LAT), and Spanish (SPN). A student may also place into second-year language through Prior Learning Assessment or College Credit Plus. **Philosophy majors are encouraged to take PHL 2050 to fulfill Area 4 of the WSU Core. If this Core area is fulfilled by another course, PHL 2050 will count toward the major. ***PHL 3000 double counts as both a CoLA Requirement and a PHL elective. GRADUATION REQUIRES 120 TOTAL CREDIT HOURS. 42 HOURS MUST BE AT THE 3000 LEVEL OR ABOVE. This plan outlines a three-year path to graduation. This schedule represents the suggested order in which courses should be taken. It does not replace regular advising appointments. Some course offerings may change. |
