ML 2300 - World Narratives of Trauma & Forgiveness Credit Hour(s): 3
Course Description: This course analyzes global narratives in which characters deal with and move beyond traumatic events with and without forgiveness. Films, readings, and other sources are presented within their cultural and historical context. Narratives explore the ways people from around the world endure and cope with war, childhood trauma, discrimination, grief and other manifestations of physical or mental trauma, focusing on the evolution of mental health care. Students evaluate ways in which people succumb to or survive trauma whilst forgiving, forgetting, or seeking revenge. Integrated Writing course.
