MTH 2415 - Elementary Mathematics Concepts for Educators 1 Credit Hour(s): 4
Course Description: Overview of mathematical topics from a perspective appropriate for early and middle childhood educators. A study of number systems and place value; concepts and algorithms for the four operations; representations for operations on whole numbers, fractions, rational numbers, and decimal numbers.
Prerequisite(s): WSU Math Placement Level 21 or Undergraduate level DEV 0415 Minimum Grade of P (DEV 0415 can be taken concurrently) or Undergraduate level DEV 0270 Minimum Grade of P
Enrollment Restrictions: Must be enrolled in one of the following programs: Elementary Education P-5 - Pre (ELEMED2-PRE), Elementary Education P-5-BSED (ELEMED2-BSED), Intervention Specialist - BSED (INTVSPE2-BSED), Intervention Specialist - Pre (INTVSPE2-PRE), Middle Childhood - Pre (MIDCHED2-PRE), Middle Childhood Ed - BSED (MIDCHE2-BSED).
