This plan outlines a four-year path to graduation. You are expected to satisfy all “success marker” courses, grades, and GPAs as specified. For part-time students and students needing to complete background material, this schedule represents the order in which courses should be taken. Program Description

The French faculty in the Department of modern languages provide a relevant and varied program of study and offers stimulating courses centered upon such subjects as creative writing, conversation, literature, film, business, poetry, music, cuisine, and other aspects of diverse Francophone cultures.

No course of study in modern languages is complete without the opportunity to study or spend time abroad. We encourage all French majors and minors to explore the program that best fits personal situations and career goals. The university offers a variety of French-language study abroad programs.  French faculty lead short-term Ambassador programs to France and Quebec, Canada, and Luxembourg. Prospective and current students can view available programs and scholarship opportunities on the University Center of International Education website and by talking with faculty advisors.  The members of the faculty take pride in their work as teachers and mentors, and look forward to working with every student!
