This program illustrates a possible 3-year completion of BS Medical Laboratory Science degree. The program assumes 11 credits of WSU Core (including CHM 1210 with lab) and readiness for College Algebra. Additional credits will be required if college algebra pre-requisites are necessary.
Admission to Medical Laboratory Science Program is competitive and limited. Criteria used to determine admission include academic record, 3 letters of recommendation, and results of a personal interview. (Minimum 2.7 GPA required).
Includes 40 credit hours of Medical Lab coursework spread over 3 semesters (Summer/Fall/Spring). Clinical Year is a 12-month program consisting of didactic coursework and rotations at affiliated laboratories.
Classes include Hematology, Clinical Chemistry, Pathology, Urine & Body Fluid Analysis, Microbiology, Parasitology, and Immunohematology.
