Program Description

The Raj Soin College of Business develops business leaders with a global perspective. To prepare students and develop the talent businesses need, the College offers Bachelor of Science in Business with a major in Management.

 

Objectives

A Bachelor of Science in Business with a major in Management is comprised of the following:

  • Hands-on class projects in leadership and team functions
  • Project-based work organizational change and development
  • Electives tailored to your needs, passions, or interests
  • Faculty involved in community businesses and government

Admission Requirements

Admission from University College and other Wright State Colleges:

The Raj Soin College of Business has a two-tier admission process. Students in University College or another Wright State College must meet the following Tier I requirements to be admitted to the College:

Tier I:

2.5 minimum cumulative grade point average

30 semester credit hours earned

Tier II:

Students are required to complete all of the following Tier II courses before granted full-business status:

ENG 1100 
ENG 2100 
MTH 2280 
ACC 2010 
ACC 2020 
EC 2040 
EC 2050 
FIN 2210 
MS 2040 
MS 2050 
MKT 2500  

In the semester that the last Tier II requirements are scheduled, students will automatically be transferred from a pre-business to a full-business major status. This allows you to enroll in upper level business courses.

Enrollment in upper-level business courses is restricted to students who have been admitted to the college, completed the Tier II requirements, and attained junior standing. This ensures that students have the appropriate pre-requisites and an adequate foundation for their professional course work in business.

Note(s):


1 With the exception of MIB 4250 and MIB 4950, courses that are required for the HR major may be taken as electives in the Management Major. 2 Repeatable up to 6 hours.

Graduation Planning Strategy


The Graduation Planning Strategy (GPS) has been created to illustrate one option to complete degree requirements within a particular time frame. Students are encouraged to meet with their academic advisor to adjust this plan based on credit already earned, individual needs or curricular changes that may not be reflected in this year’s catalog.
