Intermediate Geographic Information Science Undergraduate Microcredential

Program Description

This program provides intermediate training in the areas of Geographic Information Science. The intermediate GIS microcredential is three courses. Successful completion of the microcredential requires the student to earn a C or better in all courses that comprise this microcredential.

• Currently admitted to Wright State University

Students will learn to:

• Develop an understanding of the central theory and technical skills associated with geographic information science 

• Learn how to generate, manage, and analyze spatial data and geographic knowledge 

• Create maps and examine geographic representations of information

• Apply the analytical and technical skills associated with geographic information science

• Critically examine spatial data and geographic information
