The Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine offers medical education leading to the M.D., M.D./Ph.D., M.D./M.B.A., or M.D./M.P.H. degree. The Medical College Admissions Test (MCAT) and three years (90 semester hours or 135 quarter hours) of preparation in an approved college or university in the United States or Canada are required for admission. Admission to medical school is highly competitive. Admitted students have, on average, a GPA of 3.73 and a MCAT score of 507. Application must be made through the American Medical College Application Service (AMCAS). Applications are due by Nov. 1.

Successful completion of the Doctor of Medicine program meets the medical educational requirements for licensure in Ohio as regulated by the State Medical Board of Ohio. https://med.ohio.gov/Apply/Physician/Physician-MD-DO#prelimeducreqs.

Successful completion of the Doctor of Medicine program meets the medical educational requirements for licensure in all other states,  but testing and graduate medical education requirements vary from state to state. If you are planning to pursue medical licensure in a state other than Ohio, please contact the that state’s medical board  to seek information and guidance regarding that state’s licensure requirements.
