Program Description
The Middle Childhood Licensure Program is based on an undergraduate BS Ed. degree in Middle Childhood, graduate coursework and an option of completing a Master of Education (M. Ed.).
Middle Childhood Education concentrations include Language Arts, Mathematics, Science and Social Sciences. Students must choose two of these four areas of study. Contact the Lake Campus MCE academic advisor, Evelyn Lauterbach, for more information about concentration offerings at the Lake Campus.
Candidates who complete the B.S. Ed. and OAE (Ohio Assessments for Educators) along with graduate coursework are eligible to seek licensure from the Ohio Department of Education. Students have the option of completing the Master of Education (M. Ed.) degree in the
College of Health, Education, and Human Services.
