BME 4421 - Biotransport Credit Hour(s): 3 Derivation and application of engineering principles to flow properties of biological and other fluids; conservation equations applied to control volumes in the body as well as extracorporeal devices; principles of heat and mass transfer to similar control volumes, using basic laws and empirical heat and mass transfer relationships; dimensional analysis methodology and applications. Prerequisite(s): Undergraduate level BME 4410 Minimum Grade of D and Undergraduate level MTH 2350 Minimum Grade of D Restrictions: May not be enrolled in one of the following Degrees: Intending Egr & CS. Must be enrolled in one of the following Colleges: College of Egr & Computer Sci.
