Program Description:
The Intervention Specialist: Mild/Moderate licensure and degree program is offered at the graduate level and provides a multiage license and a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree. Candidates not having an undergraduate degree in education may have to take a prerequisite sequence of classes in order to be eligible for a license. After successful completion of the licensure portion of the program and passing the state board of education examination(s) required for teacher licensure, students are eligible for an Ohio provisional Intervention Specialist license in Mild/Moderate Needs (K-12).
Admissions Requirements:
Bchelor’s degree with a 2.7 cumulative minimum undergraduate GPA.
Dispositional Assessment - Candidate Disposition Inventory (CDI). Candidates must receive ratings of 3 or higher on all components of the CDI.
Demonstration of competence by scoring within the 50th percentile for each subtest on the GRE.
Completed FBI and BCII Background Check.
