Program Description

The graduate certificate will equip students with a broad understanding of the field of Project Management including its history, evolution, and best practices. Additionally, it will serve as a signal to the employment market of that person’s understanding and experience in Project Management.

This certificate program supports the university’s mission to provide programs that add value to the communities we serve.

Admission Requirements

To be admitted to the certificate program, students need to meet the following qualifications:

  • BS or BA degree
  • A minimum undergraduate GPA of 2.7/4.0 or a graduate GPA of 3.0/4.0
  • If the applicant’s native language is not English, a minimum score of 79/120 (IBT) on the Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) is required or a band 6 through the International English Language Testing System (IELTS)

Program Learning Objectives

Students enrolled in the Project Management Graduate Certificate Program will:

  • Have a greater understanding of Project Management tools and strategies
  • Have hands-on experience with Project Management tools
  • Know how to Design and implement Project Management plans
  • Understand how to quantify and analyze results of a Project Management plan

Program Learning Outcomes

As a result of their learning experience, graduates of the Project Management Graduate Certificate program can:

  • Design and implement Project Management plans
  • Analyze feedback and data from of a Project Management plan
  • Use Project Management tools to optimize appropriate strategies and tactics
