Program Description

This program provides basic training in the area of Remote Sensing. The Basic Remote Sensing microcredential is one course. Successful completion of the microcredential requires the student to earn a C or better.

Program Admission Requirements

  • This academic program does not have admission requirements beyond regular admission to Wright State University.  Any student is eligible to declare this academic program. 

Program Learning Objectives

Students enrolled in this program will learn to: 

  • develop an understanding of the technical skills associated with remote sensing

  • how to analyze spatial data related to remote sensing

  • how to create and analyze maps with remote sensing images

Program Learning Outcomes

As a result of their learning experience, graduates of this program can: 

  • apply the technical skills associated with remote sensing

  • critically examine and interpret remote sensing data

  • create and analyze maps using the most up-to-date remote sensing technical platforms
