Program Description
The Crime and Justice Studies minor is an interdisciplinary program emphasizing knowledge of the criminal justice system, theories of criminal behavior, law, administration, and policy. Courses are offered by School of Social Sciences and International Studies.
Admission Requirements
This academic program does not have admission requirements beyond regular admission to Wright State University. Any student is eligible to declare this academic program.
Program Learning Objectives
Students enrolled in this program will learn to:
- The basic components and functions of the US criminial justice system (i.e. police, courts/law, and corrections).
- Factors affecting issues and policies within the US criminal justice system and their outcomes on broader society.
Program Learning Outcomes
As a result of their learning experience, graduates of this program can:
- Describe the basic components and functions of the US criminal justice system (i.e., police, courts/law, corrections).
- Explain how a variety of factors affect the issues and policies within the US criminal justice and their outcomes on broader society.
