Public Health Minor

Program Description:
Students from a wide variety of majors will find a Public Health minor attractive as it provides them with a basic understanding of each of the core areas of public health, introduces students to career opportunities and prepares students for admission to graduate programs in public health and other health-related programs. Students are able to select from a diverse offering of public health foundation courses, offered both online and in the classroom.

Declared major and a GPA of 2.0 or higher

Students will:
- Communicate public health information, in both oral and written forms, and through a variety of media, to diverse audiences.
- Locate, use, evaluate and synthesize public health information.
- Analyze the range of biological, behavioral, environmental, and social factors that influence patterns in population health outcomes.
