Program Description
The Associate of Applied Science: Law Enforcement degree prepares you for employment in law enforcement, private security, corrections, juvenile facilities, and public safety settings. You will study the criminal justice system and how it functions, theories of criminal behavior, criminal law, administration and policies of law enforcement, and how the court system functions. Many of our students continue their education with the Bachelor of Arts in Crime and Justice Studies to further enhance their skills for the job market.
This program is also useful for current law enforcement agents looking to improve their skills and advance their careers. You can use this degree program to advance as a detective, crime scene analyst, or departmental manager, as well as look for further employment in agencies like the Secret Services, border patrol, and fedearl departments like the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.

Follows the admission requirements of Wright State University Lake Campus.
Learning Outcomes:
- Learning Outcome 1: Graduates will be able to communicate effectively using written and oral skills
- Learning Outcome 2: Graduates will be able to demonstrate an understanding of the fundamental skills of a law enforcement officer.
- Learning Outcome 3: Graduates will be able to identify and demonstrate problem-solving skills that will correlate to the issues they will be challenged by as a law-enforcement officers upon employment
