This guide outlines a four-year path to graduation. You are expected to satisfy all “success marker” courses, grades, and GPAs as specified. For part-time students and students needing to complete background material, this schedule represents the order in which courses should be taken. This suggested plan to four-year graduation does not replace regular advising appointments. Some course offerings may change.

Terms Seven to Nine (Clinical Year)
Clinical Year
Includes 42 credit hours of medical lab coursework spread over 3 semesters (Summer, Fall, Spring). Clinical year is a 12-month program consisting of didactic coursework and rotations at affiliated laboratories.
Classes include: hematology, clinical chemistry, urine and body fluid analysis, microbiology, parasitology, serology, immunohematology, and a laboratory management course which counts as an IW in the major.
Notes:
- This program illustrates a possible 4-year completion of Medical Laboratory Science, BS degree.
- Admission to the Medical Laboratory Science program is competitive and limited.
- An overall GPA of 2.7 or better is required.
- Criteria used to determine admission include the student’s academic record, 3 letters of recommendation, and results of a personal interview. Additional credit hours may be required to meet certain pre-requisites.
