Acting (GPS)


This plan outlines a four-year path to graduation. You are expected to satisfy all “success marker” courses, grades, and GPAs as specified. For part-time students and students needing to complete background material, this schedule represents the order in which courses should be taken. This suggested plan to four-year graduation does not replace regular advising appointments. Some course offerings may change.

Program Description


Our Acting program prepares you for life on stage. With training not only in acting but in dance and singing, you’ll hone your talents and become a well-rounded performer. In addition to the practical lessons you’ll learn, you’ll also gain a solid education in theories of acting, helping you understand your art and profession better

Wright State University’s Professional Actor Training Program offers conservatory style training inside a liberal arts setting. The fundamental objective of the program is to prepare student to begin a professional career in theatre, television, and film. Many graduates choose to widen their training and enter M.F.A. and doctoral programs.
