Program Description
The Nonprofit Administration minor empowers future professionals to positively impact the communities in which they work. Interdisciplinary classroom experiences and experiential learning opportunities provide students with the knowledge and skills for successful professional careers with nonprofit, social sector organizations. The nonprofit sector has more than 1.6 million organizations in the U.S that benefit from multiple disciplines from education and environmental science, to public health, communication and the arts, which makes the minor an ideal choice for students enrolled in a range of degrees and majors at Wright State.
Admission Requirements
A minimum GPA of 2.0 is required to enter the Nonprofit Administration minor.
Program Learning Outcomes
The minor will introduce students to professional knowledge and skills in nonprofit sector administration including governance, leadership, financial management, advocacy, marketing, public relations, fundraising, grant-writing, ethical decision-making, program development, volunteer and human resource management, and cultural competency.
