Program Description:
This minor allows you to bring an understanding of databases, programming, and networks to any discipline. You can pair this with any degree and give yourself a skill set that will set you above others in your field.
You will receive a conceptual foundation of various computing and information technology skills, combined with practical application of these same skills. To graduate with this minor, you will need a 2.0 average GPA for all minor courses.
Learning Outcomes:
- The minor in Computing and Information Technology is designed for students from non-technical disciplines to supplement their major with a practical set of courses focused on current topics related to information technology.
- The goal of the minor is to give students basic knowledge and skills in programming, networking, databases, and cyber security.
- these skills will complement and enhance any student’s major program of study and can be applied to any career field.
