Public Health, BA (GPS)

The Graduation Planning Strategy (GPS) has been created to illustrate one option to complete degree requirements within a particular time frame. Students are encouraged to meet with their academic advisor to adjust this plan based on credit already earned, individual needs or curricular changes that may not be reflected in this year’s catalog.

Term One - 15 credit hours


Success Markers:  Complete BIO1050, CHM1010/1010L, ENG 1110 and MTH 1280 with a C or better; maintain a GPA fo 2.25 or better.

Term Two - 15 credit hours


Success Markers:  Complete BIO 1080, 1070, CHM1020/1020L, and STT 1600 or 2640 with a C or better; maintain a GPA fo 2.25 or better.

Term Three - 14 credit hours


Success Markers:  Complete BIO 2100, 1120, CHM1210/1210L, and PSY 1010 with a C or better; maintain a GPA fo 2.25 or better.

Term Four - 15 credit hours


Success Markers:  Complete BIO 1150, CHM1220/1220L  with a C or better; maintain a GPA fo 2.25 or better.

Term Five - 15 credit hours


Success Markers:  Complete ANT2100 or 3100,  with a C or better; maintain a GPA fo 2.25 or better.

Term Six - 16 credit hours


Success Markers:  Complete ANT 2120 or 3120 with a C or better; maintain a GPA fo 2.25 or better.

Term Seven - 15 credit hours


Success Markers:  Complete EES 4720,  Public Health Electives with C or better; maintain a GPA of 2.25 or better.

Term Eight - 15 credit hours


Success Markers:  Complete Public Health Electives with C or better; maintain a GPA of 2.25 or better.

  • Public Health Elective Courses:  9
  • General Elective:  3
  • WSU Core - History:  3

Notes:


  • Select 26 hours from below or department approved substitution. Only 10 hours from the same department may apply. Only one course in ethics may apply (BIO 3700,  PHL 3780, URS 3300 ).
  • Must have cumulative GPA of 2.0 in order to graduate
  • All College of Science & Math courses must be a “C” or better for degree credit.
  • Total Hours Required:  120
