Pre-Kindergarten Intervention Special Needs Endorsement

Program Description:
Teachers seeking an endorsement in Prekindergarten Special Needs through the Wright State University College of Education and Human Services must hold a current teaching certificate in prekindergarten or kindergarten to grade 12 special education or a provisional or professional early childhood education teaching license. This endorsement is valid for teaching students with disabilities in prekindergarten (ages 3-5) settings.
Teachers without a current valid teaching credential must complete the renewal requirements for their credential prior to the granting of this endorsement. Teachers desiring to continue for a Master’s degree (such as the Early Childhood Intervention Specialist)must admitted to a Master’s degree program before 50% of the course work for that degree is completed.
Admissions Requirements:
Candidates must meet the requirements for admission established by the Graduate School for a licensure candidate.
