EDS 6630 - Introduction to Assistive Technology and Augmentative Communication Credit Hour(s): 3
Course Description: Assessment, use, and application of adaptive technology for persons with exceptionalities in all educational settings. Etiology, problems and needs of non-speaking individuals. Hands-on experiences required with adaptive/augmentative aids/devices.
Prerequisite(s): Graduate level EDS 6510 Minimum Grade of C (EDS 6510 can be taken concurrently) and Graduate level EDS 6530 Minimum Grade of C (EDS 6530 can be taken concurrently)
Enrollment Restrictions: Must be enrolled in one of the following levels: Graduate, Medical, Professional. Must be enrolled in one of the following programs: Intervention Specialist - Lic (INTVSPE2-LIC), Intervention Specialist - MED (INTVSPE2-MED).
