ME 4910 - Capstone Design I Credit Hour(s): 3
Course Description: Provides experience in the methodology and the process of design appropriate to the discipline, utilizing skills developed in previous courses in a work-like situation. Covers project planning and documentation, data analysis, design selection, intellectual property, engineering ethics and engineering standards. All projects will include a digital engineering component (modeling, simulation, CAD/CAM, 3D printing, etc.). Strong emphasis on the communication of project plans and results through oral presentations of project proposals, project progress, and project results. Integrated Writing course.

Enrollment Restrictions: May not be enrolled as the following classifications: Freshman, Junior, Sophomore. May not be enrolled in one of the following degrees: Intending Egr & CS, Pre_Degree. Must be enrolled in one of the following programs: Materials Sci + Egr - BSMSE (MATSCI-BSMSE), Mech Engineering - BSME (MECHEGR-BSME). Must be enrolled in one of the following colleges: College of Egr & Computer Sci.
