KNH 3550 - Hazard Mitigation and Preparedness Credit Hour(s): 3
Course Description: Principles and concepts of hazard mitigation, preparedness planning, and methods and tools utilized to mitigate against and prepare for natural, technological, and human-caused hazards. Focus on how hazards and community vulnerabilities interact to create disasters, assessment and analysis of the likelihood of hazard occurrence, impact on vulnerabilities, and how to identify, plan, and implement measures to reduce potential impacts.
