MTH 6820 - Methods in Applied Mathematics Credit Hour(s): 3 Study of methods for analyzing and solving problems commonly arising in science and engineering, such as diffusion, flow, and waves. Topics include Sturm-Liouville theory, Fourier series and transforms, conservation laws, method of characteristics, and shock waves. Prerequisite(s): Undergraduate level MTH 2320 Minimum Grade of D and (Undergraduate level MTH 2350 Minimum Grade of D or (Undergraduate level MTH 2330 Minimum Grade of D and Undergraduate level MTH 2530 Minimum Grade of D)) Enrollment Restrictions: Must be enrolled in one of the following Levels: Graduate, Medical, Professional.
