MTH 2415 - Elementary Mathematics Concepts for Teachers 1

Overview of mathematical topics from a perspective appropriate for early and middle childhood educators. Number systems such as whole numbers, fractions, rationals and decimals. Place value and bases. The meaning of and algorithms for the operations of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division. Introduction to geometry.
Prerequisite(s): WSU Math Placement Level 23 or Undergraduate level DEV 0415 Minimum Grade of P (DEV 0415 can be taken concurrently) or Undergraduate level DEV 0970 Minimum Grade of P or Undergraduate level DEV 0990 Minimum Grade of P or Undergraduate level DEV 0410 Minimum Grade of P or Undergraduate level DEV 0270 Minimum Grade of P
Enrollment Restrictions: Must be enrolled in one of the following Programs: Elementary Education P-5 - Pre, Elementary Education P-5-BSED, Intervention Specialist - BSED, Intervention Specialist - Pre, Middle Childhood - Pre, Middle Childhood Ed - BSED.
