BIO 3450 - Concepts of Biology I for Early and Middle Childhood Education Credit Hour(s): 4 Introduction to biological concepts for Elementary and Middle School Education Majors. Structured around the National and Ohio State Science Standards and taught from an inquiry perspective. Examines approaches that attempt to teach science as a knowledge-building practice, i.e., by engaging in scientific investigations and participating in scientific practices such as designing an investigation, explanation, and working with scientific models.
