EES 3450 - Concepts in Earth Science I for Early and Middle Childhood Education Credit Hour(s): 3.5 Introductory survey of geoscience. Rocks and minerals, plate tectonics, geologic time, oceanography and meteorology, planetary science. Lecture is interspersed with hands-on activities intended to reinforce concepts and to provide the students with ideas for teaching their own classes. Students will develop lesson plans on several topics.
