NUR 4440 - Public Health Nursing in the Political System Credit Hour(s): 1 to 6 Integrates nursing and public health concepts/trends to assess community health needs. Stresses primary, secondary, and tertiary prevention for health of individuals, families, and groups, including lifestyle and genetic factors affecting population health. Examines global aspects of the social, political, legal-ethical and environmental issues influencing health care and health policy. (3 cr didactic; 3 cr total clinical/lab) Service Learning Prerequisite(s): Undergraduate level NUR 3300 Minimum Grade of C and Undergraduate level NUR 3420 Minimum Grade of C and Undergraduate level NUR 3440 Minimum Grade of C and Undergraduate level NUR 3460 Minimum Grade of C and Undergraduate level NUR 3480 Minimum Grade of C Enrollment Restrictions: Must be enrolled in one of the following Colleges: College of Nursing & Health.
