MUS 6805 - Jazz Theory, Improvisation, and Arranging

Course Description: An overview of theoretical, rhythmic, compositional, and applied improvisational components of jazz harmonic language. Students apply course concepts on a primary or secondary instrument in a performance medium. Department Managed Prerequisites: Undergraduate level MUS 1010/1020 Minimum Grade of C; Undergraduate level MUS 1510/1520 Minimum Grade of C
