SCM 7995 - Integrated Supply Chain Management Capstone

Credit Hour(s): 3

Course Description: Students completing this course will gain an appreciation for the intricacies of SCM business decisions in the context of the global environment. The class will illustrate the relationships and trade-offs that must be balanced as processes are managed and decisions are made. Also, discussions of best practices in SCM tactics and strategy development will integrate topics covered throughout the supply chain program. Concepts coverage may include textbook(s), cases, assigned readings, or simulation game(s). This is a capstone experience and will bring together and build on materials learned in previous SCM classes.

Please note that since this class, SCM 7995, includes neither a service-based component nor an intensive project, some students may choose to enhance their educational experience by completing the optional course(s) SCM 7990, Supply Chain Capstone Project. This optional experience will provide students with an opportunity to spend several semesters applying integrated concepts to an in-depth, real world project. Students choosing to enroll in SCM 7990 will work with sponsoring businesses or organizations to find solutions to some of their supply chain concerns or problems.
