PSY 5680 - Aviation Human Factors Credit Hour(s): 3
Course Description: The course covers the strengths and limitations of human cognition and performance and their role in the effective operation of human-aviation systems. Basic information processing of human operators (e.g., pilots and air traffic controllers) are studied. Scientific principles and practices that optimize the capability and safety of the human-aviation system are examined in the context of training and selection, workload and situation awareness, aviation display, automation, and teamwork.
Prerequisite(s): Undergraduate level PSY 1010 Minimum Grade of C
Enrollment Restrictions: Must be enrolled in one of the following levels: Graduate, Medical, Professional.
