MUS 4820 - Jazz History and Music

Course Description: Studies music and conducts critical analysis of representative works from major composers and performers in the Jazz idiom. The historical and social significance of Jazz throughout its development will also be emphasized.

Prerequisite(s): Undergraduate level MUS 2020 Music Theory IV Minimum Grade of D

Enrollment Restrictions: Must be enrolled in one of the following fields of study (Major, Minor, or Concentration): Music.
