MUS 4805 - Jazz Theory, Improvisation, and Arranging

Course Description: An overview of theoretical, rhythmic, compositional, and applied improvisational components of jazz harmonic language. Students apply course concepts on a primary or secondary instrument in a performance medium. Department Managed Prerequisites: (Undergraduate level MUS 1010 Minimum Grade of D or Undergraduate level 1020 Minimum Grade of D) and (Undergraduate level MUS 1510 Minimum Grade of D and Undergraduate level 1520 Minimum Grade of D)

Enrollment Restrictions: Must be enrolled in one of the following programs: Music - BA, Music Education - BM, Music Education - Lic, Music History + Lit - BM, Performance - BM.
