SLI 4530 - Deaf-Blind Interpreting Credit Hour(s): 3
Course Description: Overview of role of the interpreter and necessary skills when working with individuals who are Deaf-Blind. Introduction to etiology of deaf-blindness, its impact on communication, and basic sighted-guide techniques. Focus on tactile interpreting skills.
Enrollment Restrictions: Must be enrolled in one of the following majors: Sign Language Interpreter, Sign Language Interpreting.
