SLI 3200 - Current Topics in Deafness and Interpreting Credit Hour(s): 3
Course Description: Study of the linguistic, cultural, and societal context of the Deaf community in America. Both historical and contemporary aspects of Deaf identity will be included, with an emphasis on the central role that ASL plays in the lives of Deaf individuals. Integrated Writing course.
Enrollment Restrictions: Must be enrolled in one of the following programs: Sign Language Interpret-Intent, Sign Language Interpreter - BS, Sign Language Interpreting -BS, Sign Language Interpreting -BS, Sign Language Interpreting-Pre, Sign Language Interpreting-Pre.
