PTX 8400 - Neuropharmacology Credit Hour(s): 3
Course Description: The aim of this course is to give an overview of neuropharmacology that includes basic principles of drug action in neurons, a description of major neurotransmitter systems in the brain and their pharmacology, with examples of their clinical and therapeutic relevance. The emphasis is on mental illness. The course is designed for graduate students in medicine and biomedical sciences.
