Course Description: Groups: isomorphism theorems, Jordan-Holder theorem, permutation groups, Sylow theorems, finitely generated Abelian groups, and free groups. Rings and Modules: homomorphisms, ideals, principal ideal domains, the Euclidean algorithm, unique factorization, radicals.

Prerequisite(s): Undergraduate level MTH 4520 Minimum Grade of D or Graduate level MTH 6520 Minimum Grade of D
