MTH 4820 - Methods in Applied Mathematics

Course Description: Study of methods for analyzing and solving problems commonly arising in science and engineering, such as diffusion, flow and waves. Topics include Sturm-Liouville theory, Fourier series and transforms, conservation laws, method of characteristics, and shock waves.
