ME 4160 - Advanced CAD/CAM Credit Hour(s): 3
Course Description: Advanced treatment of computer aided drawing and manufacturing. Builds upon the fundamentals of solid modeling, physical modeling and prototyping, and computer-assisted analysis. Provides significant hands-on engineering with topics such as safety, ethics, product liability, communication, and teamwork. Culminates in the design and fabrication of a prototype and hands-on fabrication using modern CNC machinery (3D printer, EDM, mill, laser cutter, etc.). Certified Solidworks Professional (CSWP) offered for free. CSWA required for enrollment.
Enrollment Restrictions: May not be enrolled in one of the following degrees: Intending Egr & CS, Pre_Degree. Must be enrolled in one of the following colleges: College of Egr & Computer Sci.
