ME 1040 - Engineering Design and Solid Modeling Credit Hour(s): 3
Course Description: Introduces the fundamentals of solid modeling, physical modeling and prototyping, and computer-assisted analysis. Provides significant hands-on engineering on topics such as safety, ethics, product liability, communication and teamwork. Technical blueprint reading and technical drawing are introduced. The course culminates in the design and fabrication of a multi-part prototype, and provides the opportunity to take the CATI Certified Solidworks Associate (CSWA) certification exam for free.
Enrollment Restrictions: Must be enrolled in one of the following colleges: College of Egr & Computer Sci.
