FR 6420 - Seventeenth and Twentieth Century Theatre

Course Description: Themes of destiny and divinity in 17th and 20th century French drama. Analysis of plays and their socio-historical context. Playwrights such as Corneille, Racine, Molière, Giraudoux, Sartre, Beckett, and Ionesco. Taught in French.
