FIN 4140 - Real Estate Law Credit Hour(s): 3
Course Description: Includes all areas of law commonly concerned with the typical real estate practitioner and investor-consumer. Topics include the law of agency as applied to real estate brokers and salespeople, law of fixtures, estates (including leases), conveyancing of real estate, real estate managers, zoning, cooperatives, condominiums, and license laws of Ohio. Successful completion of this course meets part of the licensing requirements for real estate salespeople in Ohio.
Prerequisite(s): Undergraduate level FIN 2210 Minimum Grade of D and BUS Tier II Complete 11 (the following must be completed: ACC 2010; ACC 2010; EC 2040, 2050; EC 1050 or MTH 2280; ENG 1100; ENG 2100; FIN 2210; MKT 2500; MS 2040; MS 2050)
Enrollment Restrictions: May not be enrolled as the following classifications: Freshman, Sophomore. Must be enrolled in one of the following degrees: BS in Business.
